In order to highlight Mitutoyo’s competence in the field of IoT, Industry 4.0, and automation; 
Mitutoyo in cooperation with KOMEG and FANUC has developed a Mitutoyo Smart Factory Cell. The Mitutoyo Smart Factory Cell is a state-of-the-art combination of modern industrial equipment, applying four different measuring technologies and an inspection system.


The Mitutoyo Smart Factory Cell consists of the following:

•    Conveyor Belt
•    FIELD system - FANUC Industrial IoT system

Aside from the larger measurement and movement components in the cell, there are also various types of sensors to aid in making it entirely automatic, flexible, and efficient. For the real-time data analysis and monitoring of the cell, the following software are used: MeasurLink, Space4Win, PMA-StatusMonitor, Remote Manager, and FormEio.

MiSTAR555 555 Shop Floor CMM


The MiSTAR 555 is a compact shop floor CNC coordinate measuring machine, featuring high resistance to hostile environments while boasting a compact design. Due to its smart capabilities, this powerful CMM is often requested during the design phase of our custom cells.

 

 

MiSCAN VMM


The MiSCAN vision system is a multiple sensor microscopic-form measurement system, using combined technologies of coordinate and vision measurement system technology.
This particular vision system utilizes the same image head as the Quick Vision series, Mitutoyo's best-selling vision measuring system. The Quick Vision Apex lighting system is also incorporated, providing multiple lighting functions and excellent evaluation software to provide high performance.

 

 

Formtracer AVANT


The FORMTRACER Avant is Mitutoyo’s next-generation form measurement system that can be used to measure advanced contour and surface roughness features, all in one machine. With high precision, speed, flexibility, and efficiency, the new FORMTRACER Avant Series is a great addition to any QA department.

 

 

HR-600


The HR-600 series revolutionizes conventional testing machines, being the first Mitutoyo model with a head moving at a speed of 10 mm/s within a 210 mm range.
In addition to being able to perform both Rockwell and Brinell hardness testing on a single machine, it can also test the hardness of plastics. As for other testing standards, it can perform indentation Brinell and Vickers hardness testing, which does not require image measurement.

 

 

TAGLENS


The Mitutoyo TAGLENS  – an acronym for “Tunable Acoustic Gradient Index of Refraction” – varies the focal length of an optical system with a frequency of 70 kHz. 
Not requiring any mechanical power to control the focal distance, a standing wave generated by piezo signals triggers continuous and ultra-fast adaptations of focus. Combined with a wide field of focus telecentric lens, the TAG Lens serves as a key component for ultra-fast vision inspection applications in many industries, for rapid QR code reading or defect and tolerance inspection in quality management systems.

MeasurLink is an easy to use data application management software family. It combines real-time data acquisition, online statistical analysis, integrated network,s and the exchange of quality information in a comprehensive data management solution. When inspecting in the factory, there is data produced for analysis, corrective action, and various other reporting needs.
